The season of new beginnings couldn’t be more apt for your new beginning as a married couple. Spring Has Sprung

Floral wedding ceremony

With three different spaces to choose from for your wedding ceremony – from under the Manor arches, to the Italian Pavilion or Lakeside Pavilion, you are guaranteed to find the perfect spot for your outdoor I-Do’s. But if the weather takes a turn for the worse, we also have several beautiful indoor spaces that you can take advantage of. Such as the Maximilian, Lyderick, or Ballroom, which will be flooded with natural light at this wonderful time of year. This is one of the many benefits of being an exclusive use venue for couples who book their wedding at Manor By The Lake, and have access to the entire venue whenever they like, which some other wedding venues may not be able to offer.

Spring is also the season for romantics – with blossom hanging on the trees, a host of daffodils surrounding the lake, and birds singing in the magical gardens. Not to forget the finishing touch of a beautiful Victorian mansion as a backdrop. You could even finish off your wonderful wedding reception with a sparkler photo under the glistening lights of the Manor arches. What a perfect end to your wedding night!

Spring Colour Palette

With pretty flowers like peonies, sweet peas, and crocuses popping up everywhere in spring, this season is a wonderful time to embrace a pastel colour palette. Manor By The Lake’s beautiful flower-filled gardens will be the perfect backdrop for a pastel theme with your bridesmaids dressed in soft pinks, mint greens, lemon yellows, or cornflower blue.

All-white weddings, with hundreds of candles and white blooms, also look particularly chic in the Spring months. That said, if you fancy something bolder, consider bright pops of daffodil yellow or a rainbow of brights inspired by Spring’s most vibrant flowers, tulips. It is all the details that make it feel special on your wedding day.

Spring Fling Decor

With Spring weddings at Manor By The Lake, you can let your creative juices flow and fill both the indoor and outdoor spaces with beautiful decor. Go wild with meadow-fresh flowers and greenery, which work perfectly with soft flowing drapes of fabric and touches of lace.

Spring is a wonderful time for a rustic theme too, so think about incorporating hessian, milk churn vases, and chic wooden details into your day. If you choose the Italian or Lakeside Pavilion for your wedding ceremony, these look particularly stunning covered in foliage and roses in Spring. Finally, Spring lends itself nicely to a vintage theme with all the pastel touches, lace, pearls, and pretty flower-adorned crockery.

It is also worth speaking to your wedding planner or wedding coordinator about what the venue may be able to offer. They are more than happy to advise and guide you during the planning process of your special day.

We have a range of in-house decorations, as well as recommended suppliers that we work with and know our venue like the back of their hand. Our wedding planning team are more than happy to share ideas with you and supplier contacts. After all, it is a once-in-a-lifetime day so it needs to be right!

Whether you would like to enhance your wedding with additional items such as a flower wall for a backdrop to your wedding cake, moon arch for your wedding ceremony, candelabras with artificial greenery or evening entertainment such as a magic mirror, these are all items that we have in-house for you to hire.

Our recommended suppliers vary from florists to venue stylists, whom would be able to assist with choosing the right spring-coloured napkins, chair sashes, or pew end flowers to add to your big day. We have worked with them through many weddings and events and can guarantee that they will do an amazing job, no matter what you are looking for.

Spring Blooms

If you love flowers, then you’ve chosen the perfect season to get married, because in spring there are so many gorgeous blooms to choose from. Spring wedding bouquets looks stunning as a wilder and looser arrangement reflecting the way the flowers are in nature.

Some of the most romantic blooms for spring weddings are roses, daisies, delicate ranunculus, tulips, peonies, violets and lily of the valley (like the Duchess of Cambridge had in her bouquet at her Spring wedding). Spring flowers aren’t just for the tables and your bouquet – smaller blooms like daisies look delightful when weaved into a flower crown for your bridal hair. You could even have subtle floral pew ends for your ceremony and a beautiful wedding cake decorated with your favourite flowers.

Another idea could be giving your guests flower seeds as favours, so that they can plant them at home. This can make a pretty special gift for your family and friends, as every time they look at the flowers it will remind them of your wedding day.

Spring Supper

Food at Manor By The Lake

Continuing with the floral theme, consider having a private cocktail hour with edible flowers as decoration or within the ice cubes, as these can look wonderful at Spring weddings. If it’s a glorious day, the perfect place to have your drinks reception is definitely in the Manor grounds, along with our outdoor Garden Bar. Consider having some fruit punches in Kilner jars, a Gin and Tonic cart with garnishes, or a signature cocktail station for your guests to enjoy at your wedding venue.

Keep the menu as fresh and light as the season itself. We have amazing in-house chefs that use only the freshest and local produce. They are happy to cater for all dietary requirements and cuisines to suit you – it’s not a proper wedding without great food!

You could even consider adding a fourth course of lemon sorbet with popping candy as a refreshing intermediate course, perfect for spring weddings. The catering team at the manor will have plenty of ideas for a delicious Spring-inspired wedding breakfast, and are more than willing to create a bespoke menu to suit you and go through all the possible food options for the big day.
