How do you want clients to remember Manor by the lake, beyond the weddings themselves?

“I’d love for couples to remember Manor By The Lake as more than just a beautiful venue. I want them to feel like it was truly theirs for the day – somewhere they could make their own and celebrate in a way that felt personal to them. Beyond the wedding itself, I hope what sticks with them is how comfortable and looked-after they felt, and that their guests had the best time too. For me, it’s about the memories they created here that will always feel special whenever they think back.”

Have you ever seen a couple use the manor’s spaces in a particularly creative or meaningful way?

“Yes, definitely – we’ve had some really creative ideas over the years. One couple turned the front of the manor into a little petting zoo, which was such a fun surprise and had guests talking about it all day. Another chose to have afternoon tea in the Italian Pavilion instead of a big sit-down meal, and it gave the whole day such a relaxed, personal feel. I love seeing how couples use the spaces in their own way – it shows off their personalities and makes the memories even more special.”

Which area of the manor tends to create the biggest ‘wow’ moment for couples when they visit?

“Most couples are blown away the first time they see the Italian Pavilion. The combination of the manor and the gardens, just clicks. It’s one of those moments where people pause, take it all in, and immediately start picturing their day here.”

How do you know when couples tour Manor by the lake that its their dream wedding venue?

“As soon as a couple walks into the manor and I’m showing them around I can tell by the look they give each other! Its not a single feature, its the overall feel – the layout, the views, the atmosphere that made them sure this was the right place. It makes touring the venue a breeze as they can see themselves getting married here, I help them visualise it and explain what their wedding journey will look like at Manor by the lake”.

What’s the most rewarding part of seeing a wedding or event come together perfectly?

“For me, it’s seeing everything run smoothly so the couple can enjoy their day without worrying about the details. When the timing, the décor, and the atmosphere all come together, and the guests are relaxed and having fun, that’s when you know the planning has paid off.”

If you could describe Manor by the lake in three words, what would you say?

Manor By The Lake

“I’d describe Manor By The Lake as perfect, fairy-tale, and versatile. Perfect because it’s an ideal grand venue that works for weddings of all sizes, including intimate weddings micro weddings, all the ay up to grand culture rich Asian weddings. Fairy-tale for the magical setting and charm, full of character and history. And versatile because couples can truly make it their own, bringing all their own theme, décor, style and their personality. It’s this combination of charm and flexibility that has helped us win a national best wedding venue award at the renowned national wedding award. Which is one of our award winning accolades which we are so proud of

What’s one simple detail couples can focus on that makes a huge impact on the day?

“Lighting. It completely transforms the atmosphere. Whether it’s romantic candlelight, festoon lights in the gardens, or dramatic up lighting inside the manor, it sets the tone and elevates the experience for everyone.”

Do you have any insider advice for creating a wedding vibe at Manor by the Lake that truly feels magical?

“My best advice is to embrace the manor’s character rather than trying to change it. The building and grounds already have so much personality – you just need to layer in touches that reflect you as a couple. Think about music, lighting, and those personal details that tell your story. When couples lean into that, the magic happens naturally.”

Tina’s energy, warmth, and passion for Manor by the Lake are what make every visit and celebration feel special. She knows the manor inside out, and her enthusiasm for the venue is contagious – making couples and guests fall in love with the place from the very first moment.

Next in our Meet the Makers series, we’ll meet another member of the team who plays a key role in creating the unforgettable experiences Manor by the Lake is known for – watch this space!
